- Have short cable runs where possible.
- Shorten the battery and inverter distance with a little rearrangement of your electrical panel.
- A lower DC system voltage will enable a shorter cable run.
- Longer runs require oversized cables or a higher system voltage.
Large cables are more costly but they can be a good investment for better system performance. Xantrex Technology recommends taping positive and negative wires to the inverter for a parallel set of leads to achieve lower wire inductance and better inverter performance.
